About the founder of Villa HQ Decor

My name is Donna Jo Smith, and my journey into the world of home staging began in 2016 when I was the Sales and Marketing Director for an upscale high-rise building in Dallas. It was there that I first encountered the transformative power of staging. I vividly recall seeing how an empty condo failed to captivate potential buyers compared to a beautifully staged space. This eye-opening experience ignited a passion within me-the realization that staging can truly elevate a property's appeal.

Over the years, I had the privilege of collaborating with several talented staging companies across the DFW and Cedar Creek Lake areas. However, upon my relocation from the vibrant community of Highland Park in Dallas to a quieter suburb on Cedar Creek Lake, I faced a challenge: the lack of staging options available for properties in my new community. It was this realization that catalyzed the creation of Villa HQ Decor.

But my passion for home staging extends beyond the realm of real estate. I have also been fortunate to help friends
and family refresh their personal spaces, witnessing firsthand the joy that a well-designed environment can bring.
There's something magical about transforming a home, making it feel alive and inviting.

Donna Jo believes that staging is not just about arranging furniture; it's about crafting a vision. Many people struggle to see the potential in a space-whether it feels too big or too small. Over the years, I've mastered various techniques, gleaned from working alongside local staging designers, which allows me to effectively connect with clients and bring their dreams to life.
